PRO-2 COVER CONDITIONING, clean, dry and proof

...for all varieties in awning fabrics...

waterdicht

How a cover should be, strongly hydrophobic, proof, propper and clean.

Clean but leaking does not help anybody!

Our conditioning-program for covers and sprayhoods always includes the application of a new, strong and lasting impregnation. Thoroughly in- and outside cleaning See your spray hood or cockpit tent as the visiting card of your ship. It will be the first thing seized of your boat, it's through here, that you enter the interior. Below moulded, fatty and dirty fabric roofs, that already release fusty odours, a well being cannot establish. These aesthetic and hygienic aspects are accommodated in our cleaning and conditioning processes.

Experience in maintaining heavily stressed awnings

In our Scandinavian climate awnings are stressed to a maximum. The long summer days respectively nights are a non stop UV exposure. The fabrics never dry really, in cool nordic nights a big amount of humidity builds up on the outside and causes an above average of condensed water on the inside. Since this humidity never gets the chance to dry away, mould builds up quickly. Kooking vapours and the integrated fats let the cover quickly be cultivated by bacteries, mildew and funghi. The cloth goes grey and fatty: Maintenance is mandatory!

Watch out: When you stop, our jobs start When your sailing season stops, our jobs really start.

Please supply your covers and sails as early as possible for treatment, still in autumn, immediately after your boat has been winter stored. We have to work ourselves through big quantities of covers and sails. The earlier we get yours, the earlier you will have them back.

The PRO-2 Cover Conditioning is a revaluation of your cover

Cockpit tents and spray hoods must be protective, they keep you dry and water and wind off. We strengthen your cover by an special impregnation, that contributes also to aesthetics and rejects water and dirts. Together with a colour intensification, you will be well living under it.

Cleaning

At first pollutions will be soaked in a chemical bath and the loose dirts rinsed off. At second, resistant pollutions and mould will be removed. The big variety of possible pollutions makes an individual treatment per cover a necessity. Our manual cleaning procedures are designed for this. Our superior cleaning performance has also a technical background: without this, our impregnation cannot bond properly and in consequence develop it's properties and longevity.

Mould & mildew removal

To us, covers are only clean when they are free of mildew. Unfortunately moulds are not a pollution but an affection or incrustation of fouling matter and funghi, that is capable to survive even harsh cleaning methods and spread out again.

Duration of a Conditioning process

The RED GULL PRO-2 Cover Conditioning process, is a manual treatment, in which every cover or spray hood will be worked manually several times, side by side, with regular dryings in-between. This can take 2- 4 days.

Treatment process

All processes take place under permanent supervision, allowing us an individual treatment of your cover or spray hood. Working your cover manually and individually, acc. it's fabrics needs, allows us to eliminate the disadvantages of single process machine treatments. This enables us also to maintain the fabrics actual fabrics tension and structure through out our processes.
